ABOUT JO
JO MARKS is a contemporary British artist, living in the hills of Lewes, East Sussex.
Her paintings carry a quiet yet resonant strength, exploring themes of human vulnerability, transformation, and connection.
Within her work she pays particular attention to sacred moments and rituals which reconnect her with the self, others and even the divine.
Working slowly and intuitively, she builds rich layers of paint that evolve into abstracted figures and dreamlike landscapes, inviting the viewer into a contemplative, emotive space.

Her work was featured in Farrow and Ball’s 2020 campaign (see opposite) as well as being found in private collections around the world.
